As a patient and encouraging teacher, I am always keen to introduce people to sailing. Whether you want to sit back and relax or get involved with the sailing, I will tailor your holiday to suit your needs. Having held a variety of Management positions in various Companies throughout my career, owned and managed my own Pub/Restaurant business for 16 years and travelled extensively, I look forward to being your entertaining host and Guide to the Ionian.” Robert
Skipper Qualifications:
Robert is a fully qualified and commercially endorsed RYA Yachtmaster and Cruising Instructor.
In 2008, Robert was the top candidate out of 2500 students and was awarded the prestigious ‘RYA Yachtmaster of the Year’ trophy. the award given to a student who has excelled in their practical Yachtmaster exam. The winner of the award must possess outstanding skills and knowledge as a skipper and will have demonstrated their expertise and experience during their exam.
Your Hostess Veronica
After a 26 year career within the Scottish Government, it was time for my partner Veronica to enjoy a lifestyle change and join me to help establish the Celebration Charters “Inclusive Package” concept. Veronica has now been aboard Icarus for the last 8 years. As well as being a very capable crew member, she is a very attentive Hostess. She loves meeting different nationalities from all over the world, and looking after them to ensure they have a ‘memorable’ day or holiday
Veronica is a very attentive hostess and will attend to your needs, nothing is too much trouble. Veronica will prepare your breakfast and lunch and then whilst you explore your surroundings, relax, swim or sunbathe on deck, she will take care of the housekeeping so that you can really enjoy your time enjoying your holiday aboard the Yacht.
